Michele came to us wanting to redesign her website and integrate it with her two Blogger blogs. Her site was set up using WordPress and both blogs were imported in and fully redirected so that she could control everything one single admin area. Despite this, her travel blog is still a completely separate section of her site and doesn't appear on the main blog.
Michele wanted a simple design so that the focus would be on her content and beautiful food photography. To show off as much of her photography as possible, a special plugin was used that selects a random header every time someone goes to a new page or the current page is refreshed. Using this plugin Michele can create her own headers from her photographs and upload them easily to her site.
The new Post Thumbnail feature in WordPress was also used to show a thumbnail of each of her posts in several places across her site including the "Related Posts" section as well as the archives, categories and search pages.
WHAT THE CLIENT SAID:
"I could not have been happier with the work done by Emily Carlin of Swank Web Style. The brief I filled out in preparation for the work really made me think through every aspect of my design so that when work began, it went quickly with very few changes. Emily was creative and implemented everything exactly the way I wanted. She also made a number of suggestions for features that really add to the beauty and function of the site. She provided me all the tools and instruction I need to maintain my own site going forward. I’d recommend her to anyone who needs a top notch web presence at a very competitive price."
