WordPress 2.5 RC1 available

Matt has just made an announcement on the Dev blog that the WP 2.5 Release Candidate 1 is available for download and testing. He also goes into some specifics about the new version and what we have to look forward to when 2.5 is finally released:

Try out WordPress 2.5 before it’s released

The next major release of WordPress is scheduled to come out next month, but you don’t have to wait that long to see it in action. Chris Johnston has put up a demo of the most current development version for people to play around with. Being that there is more than a month left, this is obviously a beta version and there will be changes and improvements made, but it looks like things are really starting to come together.

WordPress 2.3 released!

WordPress 2.3 “Dexter” has been released today. This is a significant release (compared to 2.2, anyway) and comes with quite a few really nice features including the long awaited Tagging capabilities. Also with 2.3 comes update notification for plugins and new WP versions, better URL management (for better search engine optimization), WYSIWYG upgrades, and better page and draft management. Creating great photos for your online shop

I have worked with many small business owners in the past who were trying to build an online store. The thing about online stores is that the product images must look amazing, it’s easy to figure out that the more amazing they look, the more interest they generate!
Being small business owners though, means that some things must be compromised due to costs, and one of those things is often getting professional photographs of the products. While this is not recommended, I completely understand the decision.
